Volcano Discovery Centre
The Volcano Discovery Centre is an important education and visitor information centre of Hong Kong Geopark. The exhibits provide information about volcanoes and Hong Kong Geopark geotour routes. Free guided tours in the centre and paid guided geotours to geosites are conducted regularly for visitors.

Geopark Visitor Centre
With the support of the Lions Nature Education Foundation, the Hong Kong Geopark Visitor Centre introduces the geological history of Hong Kong and the attractions of geopark. Interactive elements are used to present geological and scientific knowledge in an easy-to-understand way, with special designs that cater for the needs of both children and adult.

- Hand-made 3D miniature models of key geological features in Hong Kong
- Explore the Rock Cycle through "The many adventures of magma"

Ap Chau Story Room
With strong support from the 55th Orient & Southeast Asian Lions (OSEAL) Forum, the Lions Nature Eduation Foundation, Ap Chau Village and Hong Kong Geopark jointly established the Ap Chau Story Room. The story room illustrates Tanka culture and heritage, their settlement on Ap Chau and the traditional way of life there. The story room is managed by the local villagers who can act as guides to tell their first-hand stories of the past.

Take the ferry operating between Ma Liu Shui to Kat O and Ap Chau on Saturday, Sunday and Public holidays or join a local tour.
To take the ferry, visitors can travel by MTR East Rail and get off at the University Station, Exit B, then walk for about 15 minutes to Ma Liu Shui Landing Steps No.3 for the ferry service to Kat O and Ap Chau. The normal boat traveling time is about 1.5 hours. Visitors are advised to take the *ferry schedule into consideration in planning the trip.

Kat O Story Room
The Kat O Story Room is the fruit of collaboration among the Kat O Village, the Lions Nature Education Foundation and Hong Kong Geopark. The story room is established with full support from local and overseas Kat O villagers. Their contributions were coupled with a generous donation by the Fung Ying Seen Koon and sponsorship from the 55th Orient & Southeast Asian Lions (OSEAL) Forum, which made the project possible. Situated in the Tin Hau Temple, the oldest building on the island, the Kat O Story Room covers the heritage, history, stories and customs of Kat O.

- School life in 1950-1960s
- Explore the local festivals: Dajiu and Birthday of Tin Hau Goddess

Kau Sai Village Story Room
The Kau Sai Village Story Room is a tripartite cooperation among the Kau Sai Village, the Lions Nature Education Foundation and Hong Kong Geopark, and is sponsored by the 55th Orient & Southeast Asian Lions (OSEAL) Forum. The story room, which was converted from the Kau Sai Village Office, displays fishing and cultural relics, and Hakka herb specimens of the Kau Sai Village. The exhibits provide visitors with information about the history and culture of Kau Sai Village, and hopefully raise visitors’ awareness of nature conservation.

Tai Po Geoheritage Centre
Tai Po Geoheritage Center is a collaboration among Environmental Association, the Sam Mun Tsai Village and Hong Kong Geopark . The centre showcases the fishermen culture of the Sam Mun Tsai Village and gives an overview of the history of the Earth. Guided tours to the Ma Shi Chau Nature Trail are available to visitors and students.

Siu Ying Story Room
Siu Ying Story Room is the fruition of joint efforts made by the seven Hing Chun Alliance villages of Sha Tau Kok and Hong Kong Geopark. The story room occupies the space used by the expansion building of the former Siu Ying School. Established in the 1920’s, the school provided primary education to children from the seven villages for several decades. It is an important piece of collective memory. The content of the exhibition mainly comes from oral history interviews with the villagers and the historical materials they generously donated. Arranged in four themes ― History of Hing Chun Yeuk and the Seven Villages; Siu Ying School; Tai Ping Ching Chiu; Farming and Trade ― the exhibition presents the heritage and different lifestyles of the region. It is a wonderful reproduction of rural communities in bygone days.

Visitors can travel by MTR East Rail and get off at the University Station, then leave station at Exit B and walk for about 15 minutes to Ma Liu Shui Landing No.3 for the ferry service. The normal boat traveling time is about 1 hour 30 minutes.

Lai Chi Wo Story Room
Sponsored by the Chinachem Group and supported by the Lions Nature Education Foundation and the Lai Chi Wo Pui Shing Tong, the Lai Chi Wo Story Room is the second successful joint effort among the seven Hing Chun Alliance villages of Sha Tau Kok and Hong Kong Geopark, after the Siu Ying Story Room. Situated in Lai Chi Wo village, the story room was developed from the oral history narrated by locals of the seven Hing Chun Alliance villages and their donated heritage relics. The displays are arranged under four main themes ― the lifestyle culture of the Hing Chun Alliance, traditional medicine and medicinal herbs, traditional marriage and Hakka folk songs ― to showcase the ethnic Hakka heritage of the Hing Chun Alliance and the villagers’ modest but colourful lives in the past.

Stephen Hui Geological Museum
It is located on the campus of the University of Hong Kong as part of the Department of Earth Sciences of the Faculty of Sciences, which has the role as a provider of Earth Science education in Hong Kong. The mission of the Stephen Hui Geological Museum is to provide an attractive object-based learning facility for understanding the nature and evolution of our planet to visitors of all ages and to inspire an appreciation of the dynamic natural world of Earth Sciences, its research and its application to daily life.

The Earth Science Gallery of the Hong Kong Science Museum
The new Earth Science Gallery of the Hong Kong Science Museum opened to the public on 23 April 2021. The gallery features around 30 sets of interactive exhibits, models and installations for visitors to better understand the causes of natural phenomena. It also showcases the rich diversity of Hong Kong's geology and displays invaluable and colourful minerals as well as rock specimens. Comprised of four areas, this new permanent gallery guides visitors through the secrets underneath the Earth's crust, and illustrates how its internal and external forces lead to drastic natural phenomena such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis and typhoons. The amazing journey will inspire the public to consider the human impact exerted on the planet's system. The interactive models, installations and typhoon simulator at the gallery offer visitors unique insights into the power of nature.
The breathtaking geology of Hong Kong is also featured at the Earth Science Gallery through its display of rock specimens from different geological ages, such as samples from the hexagonal rock columns in the High Island region, part of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark. Visitors can view the stunning world-renowned scenery of the Geopark and learn more about Hong Kong's geology.
